New release by Gladkazuka

'The Drop' will be released tomorrow through Música Cómeme

Gregorio Gomez aka Gladkazuka is a mythical figure from Medellín's underground nightlife, contributing since pre-smartphone ages with energetic live sets to the celebration of life in the convulsive surrounding of the Colombian city.

After playing and touring alongside Matias Aguayo with The Desdemonas and contributing with the club smash hits 'Ihr Euer' and 'Futuro Chaos' to the 'Solidarity Forever' series on Música Cómeme - Gladkazuka is back with a full EP in which highly emotive and sensual electro dance fantasies culminate to 'The Drop'.

Gomez' creations are nocturnal and lush, utopian and melancholic - underground dance pop that would be mainstream in a better world.

#dasoforever - 'Every second full of burning passion'

Connaisseur is releasing an album, the producer continued to produce during the months prior to his death.

Daso Franke was born in Poona, India, but made his mark in the electronic music world after relocating to Germany - first in Cologne, then Berlin. His earliest releases came out in the mid-2000s.

On Easter Monday, April the 2nd, 2018 Daso passed away after a long bout with cancer. Connaisseur Recordings lost one of their most important artists and some of his best music was released with them.

Connaisseur head Alex Flitsch was approached by Franke's father at the funeral, asking if Flitsch would release an album Daso finalised in the months before his death. 'We didn't decide on doing so lightly, knowing that the release of a post-mortem album can bring up certain issues', Flitsch says. 'However, in the end, we agreed to do it, as we sincerely strive to create a final memento for Daso's musical legacy.'

The self-titled album 'Daso' will be out April 5th, three days after the first anniversary of Daso's obit.

NEW RELEASE BY THE CINEMATIC ORCHESTRA

It’s been 12 years, since The Cinematic Orchestra released their last studio album 'Ma Fleur' in 2007. The record was mixed by multiple Grammy winner Tom Elmhirst (David Bowie, Frank Ocean, Adele) in Jimi Hendrix’s legendary Electric Lady Studios.

Births, deaths, success, failure. Money, drugs, temptation, rejection. Trump, Brexit, fear, hope. Art, relevance, pressure, belief. It’s this that accounts for the past 12 years for The Cinematic Orchestra, it’s this that characterises the process of recording the new album and it’s this that has been distilled into a work that is not only their best and most definitive to date but by asking these questions it’s also that which best reflects the great beauty in life.

In 2019 it is easy to see the band’s influence, jazz is all around us. 'To Believe' doesn’t shy away from this ethos - its articulation of the band’s unique sonic language, encompassing not only jazz but the sort of transcendental orchestration combined with the elegant electronics of artists like Ólafur Arnalds and Floating Points, artists they have helped forge a path for, has never been more cohesive and compelling. On this album, Swinscoe and Smith continue to make music with an expansive vision, while also scaling up their ambition.

The Cinematic Orchestra are currently on tour with shows in Germany on the following dates:

23.05.2019 Berlin, Astra

24.05.2019 Köln, Music Hall

We are proud to represent such a wonderful band in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for our partner Just Isn’t Music!

Fairmont reissues classic hit 'Gazebo'!

The finished package is a set of very fresh and thoughtful reinterpretations with a wide range of styles.

Toronto-born DJ and producer, Fairmont (aka Jake Fairley) has revealed an eclectic remix package for his iconic 2005 production, 'Gazebo'. Released on Agoria's Sapiens Recordings label, the release includes a new version from Fairmont himself alongside a handful of reworks from the likes of Jacques, Moscoman, Patrice Bäumel, Stefan Smith and ANNA.

Beginning his career in the early 2000s making punk-rock-infused techno and electro under his own name for German labels such as Kompakt and Sender, it was 'Gazebo' that truly solidified the Canadian as a heavyweight in the global underground scene. Released on James Holden's Border Community label, 'Gazebo' sold 20,000 vinyl copies, making Fairmont a household name, and remains a club standard to this day.

Mona Mur has just premiered her video for 'Motorboy'

Her new solo album 'Delinquen't is set for release on March 29th via Freibank Recordings!

Mona Mur is known for her unique voice and intense live performance as well as for her soundtracks and collaborations with artists like Einstürzende Neubauten, Dieter Meier (Yello), polish rockstar Grzegorz Ciechowski or En Esch of KMFDM fame. Featuring a violently orchestral sound of darkest shades, her songs are to be found in movies such as Fatih Akin's drama Head On (Gegen die Wand) and in AAA video games such as the seminal shooter Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days. Her actual solo album 'Delinquent' written and produced together with Ralf Goldkind (Lucilectric, Fantastische 4), who came up with his hypnotic twäng guitars and signature electronic loops, releases March 29th, 2019 via Freibank Recordings.

When meeting Arthouse cinema director and camera woman Elfi Mikesch, (Die Grausame Frau, Fieber), the two discovered their mutual love for Russ Meyer's Faster, Pussycat, Kill! Kill! and its larger-than-life lead Tura Satana. 'Motorboy', filmed in one take in Mona's studio, is Mikesch's first music video clip and the first clip for 'Delinquent'. "Wollen wir da echt hin jetzt?….". Yes.

'Motorboy' is a full speed intoxication, the electronic Rock 'n' Roll anthem of a globalized world in a frenzy - racing "head on" into the explosion - based on footage filmed by Mona Mur herself while driving through the Mojave Desert, California, on an empty road leading into nothingness, bordered by crosses.
