News from our Partner Third Side Music
We bring you some news on new releases, signings and catalogues from our canadian partner Third Side Music:
New EP by SOFI TUKKER in September
The dance pop duo from the USA has celebrated a great amount of successes in the last couple of years (just to name one: Grammy nomination) and their music has been placed in big commercials of brands such as Apple and is regularly featured in various movies and series.
This year, SOFI TUKKER have already released the three singles: 'Playa Grande' (click for song), 'Fantasy' (click for video) and 'Swing' (click for video). Now they have confirmed to release a new EP on the 20th of September 2019 titled 'Dancing On the People'. Sophie and Tucker have recently talked about the EP and describe is as follows: "When you’re dancing in the club and it’s so packed you completely lose yourself in it and don’t even know where you end and the next person begins, cuz you’re all one vibration, that’s when you’re dancing on the people. It’s a feeling of complete lack of inhibition and complete connection. It’s the feeling you get at our parties and it’s the best feeling in the world!"
This is not just the best description of the new songs, but for sure also of their past concerts. We recommend you to take part in this party. Your next chances are coming up! SOFI TUKKER will headline a couple of shows this December including Frankfurt, Hamburg, Köln, München und Berlin.
New signing from Australia: Haiku Hands
One of the new editions to the Third Side Music-Family and therefore also to the Freibank-Family are Haiku Hands.
The Trio is from the other side of the world - Australia - and musically, they feel home in various kind of genres. They get inspired by hip hop, pop, electro, disco, mix and match everything together and end up creating an impulsive piece of art. The badass australian outfit first burst onto the scene with their stellar debut track 'Not About You' (click for video); a single that mixes a bold sensibility for the dancefloor with cheeky girl gang lyrics and M.I.A. energy. Their newest single is called 'Dare You Not To Dance' (click for video), but forbiddingly makes you wanna dance.
We are already looking forward to hearing more from the three energy balls!
New Signing: Chaos Chaos
We would also like to introduce to you the Brooklyn / New York based Sisterduo Chaos Chaos (until 2012 formerly known as Smoosh), who also just recently signed to the Third Side Music Roster. Asya and Chloe Saavedra (born mid 90s) have been making music together since their childhood and released three albums under their old band name. After a couple of EPs, they released their fourth album in 2018 as Chaos Chaos. Despite their young age, they have already gathered a lot of experience through out their career and shared the stage with well known artists such as Pearl Jam, Death Cab For Cutie, Tokyo Police Club, The Dresden Dolls, Jimmy Eat World and Cat Power. Wow!
Furthermore, they gained a broader awareness after the song 'Do You Feel It' (click for song) got picked for the successful comic series 'Rick and Morty'. Co-Creator of the series Justin Roiland himself is a huge fan of the band and was even featured in the song 'Terryfold', which landed the electro pop duotheir first chart entry. 'Armed and Dangerous' (click for video) is the most recent song and was released in May 2019.
